Answer (1 of 10): I had this problem few days ago and I solved it with simple suggestion by friend of mine. I unplugged mouse, keyboard and every cable except power cable to psu and gpu cable, unplugged hard drive from mobo too. Started got image. Turned off plugged hard drive, got bios settings. Discussion Starter · #3 · Sep 30, 2009. it powers up, but the cpu fan doesn't go on. checked the socket and control voltage is increasing as the temp increases, but there is no 12v from the mobo to power the fan. when i take all the ram out it just cycles the power. so atm there is no post, display or fan. but the led's are working.

Things I tried. -put rams in different slots, use single or double rams. -use different rams ( my old ones HyperX Kingston Fury 2666MHz DDR4) -try different bios update by flashing my motherboard. -reset cmos (by removing the battery and waiting few hours, ) - changes cmos battery. -reseat my GPU.
